#10 Fashion Blog: Anything

I think the Ready to Wear line for Chloe for Summer 2011 is absolutely amazing! I love the simple, yet modern look it has and I feel that it is a nice neutral change for Chloe's designs. The sheer chic quality of the clothes is so light and feminine, yet has an edge to it. This line is by far my favorite for Summer 2011.

#9 Fashion Blog: New Show Formats

Marchesa is known for showcasing their clothing in a "still" fashion show. It is more of a museum or art form rather than a fashion show. The models just stand still in the clothing while people walk around and look at the garments. This gives people the opportunity to get up closer to the garments so they can see the construction and details more carefully, rather than models walking fast down a runway.

#7 Fashion Blog: Trunk Show

Trunk shows are special shows that designers utilize in order to show their merchandise directly to retailers or exclusive customers. It gives them an opportunity to purchase merchandise before it is actually in stores. I think trunk shows are a great way for designers to connect with their customers and/or retailers. It is a more intimate version of a fashion show which really gives the customers a chance to relate with the designer and really understand their ideas and theories behind the designs.

#6 Fashion Blog: Fashion Video

This video of a hologram of Kate Moss at an Alexander McQueen fashion show epitomizes the recent combination of fashion and technology. It's amazing how real and graceful it seems watching the hologram. The audience at the fashion show all thought they were actually seeing Kate Moss on the runway until she disappeared into thin air. This is just the beginning of the possibilities that can come of putting fashion and technology together as one.

I found these photos from the forecasting site Fashion Snoops, and the color yellow was a huge deal throughout the entire site for a new spring season color. Many different shades of yellow are going to be a HUGE color trend for the Spring season for many designers. I personally love this color for the Spring season because it illuminates the feeling of happiness. You could use this color in many different ways; to perk up cool colors, use it with blue for an eye-popping combination, or use it with red to make an exciting fusion of color.

#4 Fashion Blog: Key Color from the Streets

I went down to the South Street Seaport when I took pictures for this entry and realized that there was red everywhere I looked! The color red is such a popular color and is always in style. It was especially popular this Winter season among pea coats and other winter jackets. It also happens to be my absolute favorite color and I loved seeing it all over the streets.
